Alabama History Day is the state contest of National History Day, a competition that engages middle school and high school students in robust and creative historical research. This year’s contest theme is "Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History,” an apt one given 2026 is the 250th anniversary of America’s Declaration of Independence! It’s also why this year’s contest has a special location at American Village!
