"Black Identities in Opera" introduces the historical presence of African American composers and singers in the world of opera. Throughout the presentation, we'll listen to music by composers of African descent, as well as traditional repertoire that is performed by African American opera singers. Did you know: Our native Alabamian, Coretta Scott King, trained as an opera singer, and will be a featured part of this discussion.
