This America at 250 project features two Alabama communities that have customized a national Smithsonian exhibit — highlighting the people, places, and stories that have shaped Alabama, from past to present.
Share the flyerThrough 2026, and beyond, AHA is inviting Alabamians to reflect on America’s 250th anniversary, spark community conversations, and explore the richness and complexity of our shared American story. And that includes another Smithsonian partnership that’s helping Alabamians tell our own stories.
