The Montgomery Bus Boycott is one of the most studied events in American history. This presentation begins with several events that preceded the decision of those assembled at the Holt Street Baptist Church on December 5, 1955 to continue the one-day boycott and concludes with the first integrated bus ride in Montgomery on December 21, 1956. Also highlighted will be the legal strategies the boycotters used to advance their cause and the opposition's response.
Audiovisual aids will be relied on to enhance the presentation.
