Williams v. Wallace: Let Us March on Until Victory Is Won

Williams v. Wallace focuses on the attempt of disfranchised African Americans to march from Selma to Montgomery to voice their displeasure with the status quo. The chronology begins with the events that ended with the shooting and subsequent death of Deacon Jimmie Lee Jackson in Marion and concludes with the arrival of 25,000 determined marchers in Montgomery to hear an address by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in front of the state capital. A central facet of the presentation will feature the role of Judge Frank M. Johnson Jr. and the strategy of Atty. Fred D. Gray and his assistants in making the march possible.
Audiovisual aids will be used to enhance the presentation.
