A 'Food for Thought' lunchtime lecture by Kathryn Braund, Ph.D., on William Bartram at the Alabama Department of Archives & History.
Dr. Braund, an expert on 18th-century naturalist William Bartram’s observations of the southeastern Indians, was puzzled by Bartram’s descriptions of alligators he encountered during his tour of the south in the 1770s. So, she wrote an essay on it and will share some of her discoveries in this lunchtime talk.
