The Historic Huntsville Museum, an AHA-supported grantee, is named to the Reconstruction Era National Historic Network, a program of the National Park Service.
The museum is housed in the Harrison Brothers Hardware building, structure rebuilt by Daniel Brandon, a Black masonry contractor, following a 1901 fire. The Historic Huntsville Foundation exhibit “Brick by Brick: The Legacy of Henderson and Daniel Brandon” details this story in depth.
