Alabama History Day is a statewide competition that engages students in historical research and dynamic storytelling; winners go on to National History Day in Washington, D.C.
Students pick a topic based on the year's theme, then present their research as either a paper, a documentary, a website, a dramatic performance, or an exhibit. This enables students to become writers, filmmakers, web designers, playwrights, and artists as they create contemporary expressions of history.
