This is the soft opening of Temple Beth-El's Civil Rights Experience, which explores Birmingham’s civil rights history through the lens of the city's Jewish community and builds connections to foster ongoing acts of
tikkun olam (repairing the world). The experience will open permanently in the fall of 2023.
As part of this special preview, Temple Beth-El will screen an AHA-funded documentary about its history and its Civil Rights Experience. Participants will also enjoy docent-led tours and opportunities for reflection and feedback. Light refreshments will be served.
