Created from a starter kit inspired by a permanent collection in the National Museum of American History,
Many Voices, One Nation takes visitors on a cultural journey through the rich and multifaceted stories that make up America.
Two communities in Lower Alabama have customized this exhibit to reflect the stories and people of their regions. Throughout America’s 250th anniversary, the locally customized exhibit will be on display in two Alabama venues: St. Stephens Courthouse (Washington County) and the Ann Rudd Art Center & Dowling Museum (Dale County).
These projects are possible thanks to Alabama Humanities’ partnership with the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street.
