The Alabama Humanities Alliance and our emerging Healing History Initiative is pleased to sponsor Woven Together: Courageous Conversations on May 3 at Birmingham's historic Lyric Theatre. The public event, part of Birmingham's Peace Week, is presented in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, the Aspen Institute, and the Instruments of Hope Unity Fund.
Come hear an open and thought-provoking conversation between Danny Cohn, CEO of the Birmingham Jewish Federation; Sen. Doug Jones, a former federal prosecutor and U.S. senator from Alabama; Rev. Audrey Price, Ph.D., of the Religion and Society program at The Aspen Institute; and Bart Starr, Jr., businessman and founder of Starr Enterprises.
The event will also feature Ashley M. Jones, Alabama's poet laureate, as well as musical performances representing different faith traditions across the state.
